🟡 Please Note: This article covers Poll steps on Landing Pages 2.0. For legacy Landing Page polls, see Make a Poll / Fan Survey (Legacy).
Poll steps inside Landing Pages help you learn more about your fans, measure demand, and segment audiences based on their preferences. Poll data feeds directly into the Audience Builder - so responses become usable audience data for targeted Posts, automations, and future campaigns.
🟢 Top tip: Short, focused polls often get higher completion rates than long surveys.
Add a Poll step to a Landing Page
1. Navigate to Engage > Landing Pages and open your Landing Page.
2. Click the + icon between journey steps or add to your Join step.
3. Select Poll question.
4. Click + Add poll to select an existing poll or create a new one.
⚪ Note: If you include a poll question within the Join step, only one question can be asked at that point. Add a dedicated Poll step later in the flow if you want to include more than one question.
Repeat to add additional poll steps if needed. Poll steps combine well with pre-save steps, collect upload steps, and audio or video player steps.
🟡 Please note: Adding too many poll steps can reduce completion rates. Keep the fan journey focused on a single campaign goal.
⚪ Note: Steps with missing content such as a poll step with no poll selected, are flagged in the editor. If left unresolved, these steps will not be shown to fans.
View poll responses
Poll results appear in the Engagement tab of your Landing Page overview. From here you can review:
Poll response breakdowns
Answer performance
Fans connected to each response
Build audiences from poll responses
Poll responses can be used as audience filters in the Audience Builder.
Navigate to Fans > All Fans.
Add a Poll filter.
Select the relevant poll.
Choose one, multiple, or any poll answers.
Save and name your audience.
Poll audiences are commonly used for presale access, location targeting, merch campaigns, fan club segmentation, and release marketing. Audience segmentation becomes more valuable over time as more fans complete polls across campaigns.
⚪ Note: For more on building audiences, see Audience Builder.
Trigger automations from poll answers
Poll responses can trigger automated broadcast workflows. Common uses include sending presale links for selected shows, confirming competition entries, delivering location-specific updates, and sending merch offers based on product interest.
⚪ Note: If fans need to complete the entire Landing Page to trigger your automation, use the Landing Page completion tag - for example, signup-pre-sale-2026-thanks - rather than the poll answer tag alone: signup-pre-sale-2026.
🟢 Top tip: Fans are more likely to engage with future campaigns when their poll responses directly shape the messages and offers they receive.
Poll ideas
"Which song should make the setlist?"
"Which merch design would you buy?"
"What kind of updates do you want from us?"
"Would you want presale access for this tour?"
"Which city should we play next?" (use a WSWP? step instead)
Polls work best when fans feel their response has a real impact on future decisions. When fans can see that their input directly shapes how you build your world, it creates a sense of belonging that strengthens the artist-fan relationship.
